Provely

Usage limits

Provely is free to use today. Every time you check a prompt, we run it on real models and pick up that bill ourselves.

Limits are how we keep it that way. They stop one busy day from spending the whole pot before everyone else has had a turn. They are not a sales tactic: they spread a shared, limited budget fairly across a day.

How long a prompt can be

A single prompt can be up to 10,000 tokens, which is a long brief or a system prompt with examples. If you paste something longer, we tell you the count and ask you to trim it before anything runs.

Longer prompts cost more to run on every model at once, so this cap keeps a single check from using far more than its share.

Marking up your prompt

Before any model runs, Provely reads your prompt and marks up what it finds. You get a daily allowance of these findings passes. It is generous, because this step is cheap and it is where most of the learning happens.

When you reach it, the next findings pass opens again after the daily reset.

Running it across three models

The expensive part is the real run: your exact prompt sent to Claude, GPT and Gemini, each answer returned, priced and judged. This is where the money goes, so it has the tightest daily allowance.

Running a prompt as you wrote it and running it again with fixes still counts as one run for the day. We only count it once you actually set a model going, and if a run fails part way, it does not come out of your allowance.

Rewrites within a check

When Provely rewrites your prompt to apply the fixes you picked, you get two rewrite attempts per check. That is enough to try a version, read it, and ask for one more take if the first is not quite right.

You can always edit the draft by hand as much as you like. Only the AI rewrites are counted.

The shared daily budget

On top of the per-person allowances, there is one budget for the whole service each day. If enough people put Provely through its paces that we reach it, real runs pause for everyone until the reset, and we say so plainly on the page.

When this happens, nothing you did caused it, your prompt is never charged, and your own allowance is untouched. It simply means the day was busy.

When limits reset

Every daily allowance resets at midnight UTC, and what you used yesterday is back to full. Unused allowance does not carry over to the next day. Without an account there is no reset: you get one check on all three models, once, and signing in gives you a daily allowance.

Signing in

Signing in saves your checks and your history so you can return to them. It also turns the one check you get without an account into a daily allowance, so signing in is the cheapest way to keep checking.

The shared daily budget above is unchanged by any of this. It is one pot for the whole service, and signing in does not give you a bigger share of it.

If the daily limits are too tight

Today's limits are set so the shared daily budget lasts the whole day for everyone using Provely, not because we want them low.

Pro and Max replace the daily allowance with a monthly one, well above what a day on Free gives you. Free needs no card, and nothing on this page changes if you never buy anything.

Pro swaps these daily limits for a monthly allowance. Here is what it includes: See pricing.

How to use Provely

Here is the whole run, from a prompt you are unsure about to one you can use.

  1. Paste your promptPut the prompt you want to test into the box on the home page. Nothing runs until you press the button.
  2. Read the findingsYour prompt comes back marked up. Everything is measured against what Provely read it as asking for; if that reading is wrong, Edit the intent and the findings are rebuilt from your version.
  3. Read the runsYour exact prompt goes once to each model in the run. You get every answer in full, an estimate of what it cost, and marks on your own words showing what held and what did not.
  4. Answer the questionsThe findings come with short questions about the things only you know, such as the format you want or who the answer is for. Answering is optional, and each answer you give goes into the improved prompt.
  5. Pick your fixesTick the fixes you want and Provely writes an improved prompt from them. You get two of those rewrites per check. You can also edit the draft by hand as much as you like.
  6. Run the re-testRun the improved prompt and compare. The before and after sit side by side, with the evidence behind every mark.
  7. Take it away, or share itCopy the improved prompt and use it wherever you like. Sharing a result is a separate choice, and you see a preview of exactly what goes public first.

The longer walkthrough is in the Prompt Check guide.
